What is the Gospel and FAQ

What is the Gospel?

The Gospel of Jesus is the good news that God loves us so deeply that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to rescue humanity from sin and restore our relationship with Him. Through Jesus’ life, death on the cross, and resurrection, we are offered forgiveness, grace, and eternal life.

How did we lose our relationship with God?

When Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden, sin entered the world. Their disobedience broke the perfect relationship between humanity and God, bringing death, shame, and separation. What was once a place of peace became marked by pain and struggle. Yet even then, God promised redemption—a Savior who would one day restore what was lost through His grace and sacrifice.

How do I receive Salvation?

Salvation is a gift from God, received through faith in Jesus Christ. We are saved not by our good works, but by believing that Jesus died for our sins and rose again to give us new life. To receive salvation, repent from sin, believe in Jesus as Lord and Savior, and invite Him into your heart. Romans 10:9 says, “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

What Do I Do After I Am Saved?

After you are saved, your new life in Christ begins! Start by growing your relationship with God through prayer, reading the Bible, and connecting with a community of believers. Follow Jesus daily by living out His teachings, turning from sin, and sharing His love with others. Salvation is the beginning of a lifelong journey of faith, guided by the Holy Spirit and grounded in God’s grace.

Why Bad Things Happen to Good People?

In a broken world, suffering is part of the human experience. Bad things happen not because God is absent, but because sin and free will brought pain into creation. Yet even in hardship, God works for our good, shaping our faith, building our character, and drawing us closer to Him. The story of Jesus reminds us that even the worst suffering can lead to redemption and eternal hope.

Why am I here?

You were created by God on purpose and for a purpose — to know Him, love Him, and reflect His glory. “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works” (Ephesians 2:10).
